Ukraine: Beer production up, malt down in January-May this year

Ukraine’s beer production in January-May this year totalled 7.05 mln hl, up 0.4% from the output seen over the respective period last year, Ukrpivo reported on June 10.

The nation’s beer statistics does not include brands containing less than 0.5% alc. by vol.

Malt production was 146,648 tonnes, down 2.3% from January-May 2018, the trade association said.
